Overview

Assign an error code to every MapGuide Error or Warning

Motivation

MapGuide currently only returns string error messages which are hard to search for and follow up.

Introducing error codes makes it easy to reference error messages in documentation, mailing lists and for blog entries.

Proposed Solution

*Currently under discussion on mapuide-internals.*

Approach will be to assign error codes to every error message in the Resources File

There will then be a gradual integration into documentation and the wiki over time
