Description
Just like the Buffer tool, the samples "query" and "theme" provided in dotnetviewersamples, phpviewersamples
(http://mapguide.osgeo.org/download/releases/2.0.x-samples) could be adapted and integrated in the standard Ajax Viewer.
It is always a pain for the users to adapt those tools depending on their data source (oracle is really painful), and thematic rendering and advanced query could be a serious added value for MapGuide, as "plug and play" tools.

This is an interesting approach (really), but it doesn't cover 100% of my request. If you check the code of those samples, a couple of things are hardcoded (map : Sheybogan...). The real purpose of this request id to make those samples generic and "industrial".

2.4 installer now bundles the viewer and developer guide samples (from which you can create Invoke URL commands from)
How about going with my the approach I suggested here?
