Description
Hi,
When I open a map with the desktop viewer, all layers that belong to that map will be available to search on using the Search function under tasks. Is there an easy way to exclude these layers from the search dropdown list (maybe an option in Meastro for each layer) or will this have to be done in code?
Thanks, Shaun

Are you talking about the latest version of the desktop viewer or Maestro? I dont want the user to choose/specify the layers to search on, i just want the layers i specify myself to be visible/available for the user to search on.

Fixed r7152. If you're using the .net 4.0 binaries, grab the patched binaries from the Google code site or download the updated mg-desktop-viewer-net40 nuget package.
Otherwise, wait 24hrs for a new .net 2.0 zip release
Have you tried using the simple search commands in the latest release? They function like the the AJAX/Fusion search command and use the same grid results window as the (Generic Query) for displaying search results.
The simple search commands require you to specify a layer name and filter up-front.
