with InitWMC (http://www.mapbender.org/InitWMC) it should be possible to merge the WMC with the layers of the gui which is opened.
At the moment InitWMC loads the WMC document to the gui.
possible paramters could be: &wmc_id &merge_wmc_id &load_wmc_id
