The topics proposed are:

  • Open Collective: add PSC members as "Core Contributors"? see https://opencollective.com/osgeo/projects/grass ?
    • Suggested roles:
      • Admin --> PSC chair, treasurer
      • Core Contributor --> PSC members (also selected others?, heading says "Our team")
      • Accountant --> PSC chair, treasurer
  • Sponsoring
    • Review new OC tiers and PR with perks
    • OC order
    • Researcher/thesis thank you with recognition on the page
  • Releases
  • GSoC
  • FOSS4G "State of GRASS" talk
  • Community meeting, Prague: organization, budget, reimbursements, etc.

Minutes

  • GSoC: The candidate student had applied to 2 different projects and he selected the other option (Chromium). Spam the call more next year, esp. in computer sciences.
  • FOSS4G talk:
    • Some discussion can be done in Prague, push 8.3 release in Prague and present that
    • Format: recycle the grass-talk repo and update slides, use issues for tasks and create PRs
    • Markus has the latest version of the repo and shares it with Martin
  • GRASS Meeting in Prague
    • Martin is planning places to eat and drink
    • Saturday: main social event - visit a brewery close to Prague
    • Vaclav ordered t-shirts already
    • Martin booked a room for the meeting, he'll ask IT for a wifi network for GRASS community
    • Lunch: stay in the room and order, or go to the library (it is possible to book it, Martin will ask)
    • Online: jitsi within the community channel in gitter works, otherwise NCSU zoom
    • Budget: we are Ok
    • Reimbursements: Ask OSGeo to transfer the assigned amount to opencollective right before the meeting. For FOSSGIS, Markus will ask them how to proceed, esp. seed money for Martin as a local organizer.
  • Open Collective:
    • Add a footer to the emails in mailing lists with a link to opencollective (Markus)
    • Invite PSC members to join the team of OpenCollective (Markus)
  • Release:
    • Automatic release procedure - call between Markus and Vaclav to be done
    • No blockers, some stuff bumped to 8.4
    • Release during Prague meeting?
  • RFCs:
    • Python Language: ready, Vero sends out the motion
    • Version Numbering: almost ready, Vaclav works on it and sends out the motion
