"Illegal filename <map@>" warning when displaying a vector map from a different mapset in GUI

Description
When adding a vector layer in GUI, I'm getting "Illegal filename" warnings in the terminal:
GRASS_INFO_WARNING(28726,1): Illegal filename <basin@>. Character <@> not allowed. GRASS_INFO_END(28726,1) GRASS_INFO_WARNING(28727,1): Illegal filename <basin@>. Character <@> not allowed. GRASS_INFO_END(28727,1)
The vector map is displayed normally though. I see these warnings the moment I type "@" in the name of vector map textbox. It doesn't happen for raster maps.
