#2076 new defect

3D polygons distorted in NVIZ

Reported by: richardc Owned by: grass-dev@…
Priority: normal Milestone: 7.0.7
Component: wxGUI Version: svn-trunk
Keywords: NVIZ, 3D polygon Cc:
CPU: x86-32 Platform: Linux

Description

After converting 2D to 3D polygons using v.to.3d the resulting polygons appear distorted when viewed in NVIZ 3D View.

E.g.,

v.to.3d --overwrite input=w001001urban2_rtv_split@PERMANENT output=w001001urban2_rtv_split_3d height=0

An example of a displayed image can be seen at: http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/Filling-2D-polygons-in-NVIZ-td5076683.html#a5077179

I've also tried using v.split to see if that helps, but there is no difference.

3D polygons created with v.drape look similar.
