Hi,
since the method of administering the new homepage, or even what CMS it might be using, is completely unknown to me, I would request that whoever is now looking after that consider to add something about the upcoming FOSS4G-NA conference to the front page.

For the record: this is documented in the Wiki (see also ML archives):

Obviously we do not advertise publicly how to login. The CMS is CMSMS (http://www.cmsmadesimple.org/) with the version number hopefully obscured.
