xmltester make check failure on MAC OS X 10.9

Hi, I am not sure how serious the problem is. The test is looking for throw_out_of_range in libstdc++ which it can't find:

gcc -v (similar for g++ -v): Using built-in specs. Tested geos versions: 3.3.3 and 3.4.2
