Can't import into my Pycharm Anaconda project

Description
I can't import GDAL in my Pycharm Anaconda project even though IDLE can import Gdal AND the terminal window in my Pycharm says gdal is installed. When I try to manually insert the package using pycharm settings, it runs an error " IOError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: u'C:
ProgramData
Anaconda2
pkgs
cache
2116b818.json'". Please help

Looks like a Anaconda packaging issue or mis-use (no idea!). Nothing related to upstream GDAL project. Closing as invalid for GDAL upstream.
