Overview
This RFC proposes the creation of a Project Steering Committee to provide community-driven guidance and leadership to the Fusion project.
Motivation
The Fusion project has the potential to be a widely adopted web mapping application platform. A decision making body that is acknowledged by the community is required to effectively manage the Fusion project, both from a technical perspective but also from an operational perspective (such as OSGeo incubation and the requirement for contribution agreements) that involves both users and developers.
Proposed Solution
The creation of a Project Steering Committee as per these guidelines with an initial membership of Paul Spencer, Jason Fournier, Mike Adair, Chris Claydon, and Julien Samuel Lacroix.
Implications
Once approved, the PSC will have responsibility for making decisions on all project links as per the guidelines.
