Per the FDO Provenance Review some raster data in GDAL/TestData has unknown origins.

This ticket is an attempt to track an action item to review questionable items, and potentially re-engineer the unit tests to use other, known safe, data.

Current "at issue" data:

  • ESRI/ASCII/BenNevis.asc
  • ESRI/Binary/California/*
  • GeoTIFF/AspectTest3/*
  • Jp2/037121f8UTM-LL.j2k
  • Jp2/Greyscale/tokyo_gray.*
  • MrSID/Airport.sid
  • MrSID/Grayscale/36114B51.sid
  • PNG/*

Action items:

  • GregB: review other oustanding data.
  • FrankW: replace data no one can speak for, with comparible safe testdata and update unit tests accordingly.
