pgsql2shp seems to produce incorrect dbase files, problems importing into Gnumeric

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Export data with shp2pgsql 2. Import the generated dbase file into Gnumeric

Gnumeric does not show the last record.

Problem analysis by Gnumeric developers suggests 2 problems with the generated file, major details at  http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=568454.

PostgreSQL: 8.2.9, as in current CentOS Testing repository PostGIS: 1.3.5

Should be fixed in 1.3 and trunk at r3749.
