The desktop icons are different in desktop and live iso

You logged into the Xfce Session instead of the Xubuntu Session. Not sure why the correct Session is at the bottom of the list.

I think I'm missing the point of this bug report.

Different WMs use different default sets of icons? As long as they still get the idea across, why is that a problem?

This is a symptom of the problem that the gdm configuration doesn't seem to be working anymore. This includes the wrong default session which should be Xubuntu Session not XFCE Session and the auto login not working ticket:691

I made some adjustments to the iso build process and I'm building a new ISO now to test. This iso build will also test the Win/Mac install. For naming purposes it's 4.5rc1a.
