Description
Hi,
in obsolete packages I found wiki:pkg-gdal-dev (I suppose it was daily builds of GDAL/OGR library right?) which os currently not maintained. I am interested to restore this package and maintain it if anybody is not interested to do it.
Anyway I am not familiar with GDAL/OGR packaging for OSGeo4W, I found (1). Any special hits? Thanks, Martin

Speaking of GDAL 1.10...when is OSGEO4W going to retire the nearly one year old GDAL 1.9.2 in favor of GDAL 1.10 :) I realize that I can get it from gisinternals, but we can only get gdal from OSGEO4W . And unfortunately we are still stuck on 32 bit Windows XP :(
Replying to jef:
IIRC it wasn't daily - just occasionally updated. For the 64bit build I used http://download.osgeo.org/osgeo4w/testing64/release/gdal/gdal-1.10.0-1-src.tar.bz2. I suppose that's close to what necessary for gdal-dev.

I will take the action item to purge gdal-dev from our system.
GDAL 1.10 effectively needs to be incorporated in concert with the various plugins which makes it a fair job. That might happen in a couple months when I have more time, or it might do to just want for 1.11 to be released and rebuild things then.
