Resolution: fixed
Status: newclosed
  • a few days ago, Hayashi-san and Sakurai-san looked at this Administrative rights issue
  • they discovered that this can be set in a manifest file (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/944276/)
  • tested by having Apache install its service in the installer's postinstall (apache-2.2.14-2)
    • successful with Windows7
    • should work with Vista, but should not with XP
  • committed in r:1144
  • will need to regenerate osgeo-setup.exe and create a new setup package (will again email to list)
