Description

Hi SAC people!

We would like to request the setup of a TRAC instance for the GeoNetwork opensource project. This allows the project to start using an integrated tracker with a WIKI for its development process and focus the GeoNetwork opensource Community website on support of the users of the software.

Thanks,

Jeroen

Jeroen,

The trac instance is now living at:

http://trac.osgeo.org/geonetwork

You can login using your OSGeo userid (ticheler) and you have admin priveledges. At the following url you can find admin pages to set various things like the components, priorities, milestones and so forth.

http://trac.osgeo.org/geonetwork/admin

At the minimum I would suggest setting up the components (sub categories to which GeoNetwork bugs can be assigned).

Also, currently permissions are setup such that anyone can submit and modify tickets (bug reports) and wiki pages. For most trac instances we have left ticket reporting open to anonymous, but made wiki creation and editing require an authenticated OSGeo user to help limit wiki-spam. I can make this change for you if you would like.

Also, if you can point me to a logo you would like to use in the top Trac bar, I will replace the generic trac logo with it.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions about Trac.

Jeroen,

Per your request I have added the geonetwork logo to the site, and modified permissions so that only LDAP authenticated users can create and modify wiki pages.

I'm not sure what css or other layout control is available. We don't normally provide ssh access widely to the main osgeo.org server, but if you would like to experiment I can setup another instance of the service on our test server and arrange an ssh account for you there. Then when you are happy with the configuration, I could migrate it back to the main site.

PS. It is best to add questions directly to the ticket in Trac rather than replying via email.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
