projects vm: osgeo ldap login not working?

Description
Trying to log in to the projects vm (projects.osgeo.osu ...) with my osgeo account (mschulz) gives me a permission denied error. The login works without problems for osgeo site, trac and svn.

To get login access to the projects VM and and some other machines it is necessary to be a member of the "telescience" LDAP shell group:
I have added you. Any existing member of the group can add new members as needed.
