Description
Hi there,
if possible, could live.osgeo.org be set up for use by the live-demo project?
for starters it would just contain a simple index.html which redirects to the http://download.osgeo.org/livedvd/ site, but in future we could do a little more with it. I'm not expecting to need any new services, just serving static html.
see also http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Live_GIS_Disc
(set priority to minor because there's no rush)
thanks, Hamish

Please set up the static html in the livedvd SVN folder somewhere. Then I'll pull it and create this domain for you.

Also, just added "Live DVD" to the left sidebar menu on www.osgeo.org pointing to download.osgeo.org/livedvd

Replying to tmitchell:

the download.osgeo.org page is held in SVN at,
https://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo/browser/livedvd/gisvm/trunk/download
and manually copied to the server whenever it changes.
(I've been meaning to move that dir up a couple levels but haven't gotten around to it)
the static html for the arramagong.org site is maybe/partially here:
https://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo/browser/livedvd/gisvm/trunk/doc/
but I'm not 100% on what's there vs. not.
cheers, Hamish

Done. See http://live.osgeo.org.
I just grabbed the basics from SVN in your first link, saved on our osgeo2 server. I had to manually change a bunch of relative pointers to the download locations. I renamed the icons folder so it didn't conflict with apache's built in ones (thanks Wolf! :).
I'm sure I missed something else, so just holler!
Moved priority up to major. It would be very valuable to point people at a LiveDVD home page.
I'd like to move much of the content from http://arramagong.org over to live.osgeo.org (and remove reference to arramagong).
