Setup Build Server (GeoTools, GeoNetwork etc)

Reported by: warmerdam Owned by: warmerdam

Description

It is desirable to setup a server (possibly xblade 11) as a build server for continuous integration builds of GeoNetwork?, GeoTools? and possibly other projects.

These two projects are expecting to use "Hudson".

It might also make sense to make the same server a buildbot slave for some projects.

Jeroen / Justin,

The 198.202.74.216 server has been allocated for this purpose. Let me know what userid's you would like created for you.

Please put anything you setup in a suitable subdirectory of /osgeo and create a wiki topic or topics documenting it, which we can link from the SAC service status page.

Mateusz has also setup a buildbot slave on this blade.

Jeroen,

Did you end up using the .216 server (buildtest.osgeo.org) for anything? I don't see any obvious sign of it under /osgeo on the server.

/me digs a bit.

Ah, I see things are documented at  http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Hudson_Configuration - excellent.

If practical, I'd like the hudson related stuff to be moved under something like /osgeo/hudson.

I notice that  http://buildtest.osgeo.org/osgeo/geonetwork/hudson/ does not seem to work (404).

Indeed, I changed the configuration and forgot to update the wiki page (done now). I upgraded the application and it is now running under  http://buildtest.osgeo.org:8080/hudson/ . The installation is more trivial now, since it only involves dropping the war file of a new hudson in the webapp folder.
