Invalid mailing list subscription requests from IP address 63.239.52.125

We've had reports from someone who received mailing list subscription request confirmation emails from multiple lists on the lists.osgeo.org server on July 1st around 10:38pm. The requests were apparently originating from IP address 63.239.52.125 and the person said he received 1000's of mails from our server.

Can someone with access to the logs of the lists server check if this IP address (63.239.52.125) produced multiple subscription requests on July 1st, presumably for spamming, and if yes then we could perhaps consider blocking it?
