Project history: The development of istSOS started in 2009 in order to provide a simple implementation of the SOS standard for the management, provision and integration of hydro-meteorological data collected in Canton Ticino (Switzerland). The project is managed and developed by Istituto Scienze della Terra (http://www.supsi.ch/ist_en.html) with some minor contribution from CSIR (http://www.csir.co.za/) and UNIGE (www.unige.it). Its development and maintainance is supported by Canton Ticino (www.ti.ch) - Ufficio dei corsi d’acqua - and several European projects (www.enorasis.eu, www.miaria.regione.lombardia.it, etc.).

Thanks for the application (it is clear and provides the necessary detail).

The next step is finding a mentor to be a contact point during incubation. The incubation committee is running short on volunteers, so if you have any open source contacts that you could recommend for this role we would be appreciative.

Massimiliano, I'll be happy to mentor you towards OSGeo Incubation. What is the first thing that you need me to do?

Have you finalized the code provenance review and explained the open issues? I guess we also still need a page in the OSGeo Wiki.

I have mentored several projects but have to update on the current processes, several documents have changed over the past yeear.

Cheers, Arnulf
