Description 

To access cascaded WMS-layers, which are secured with basic authentication, it 
should be possible to identify via user/pwd in the CONNECTION string like:
http://user:password@host.domain.com/...

This is already possible. I have only tested this on Windows, not on Linux.
Are you sure this is not already working?
