Description
When labelling a road layer (TYPE LINE) with ANGLE FOLLOW the resulting labels are confused (WMS service). Some letters in the name are overlapping and others are missing.
This is quite a serious bug since the resulting raster maps are unclear and nearly unusable. See the attached image (my annotations in red). Same behaviour in GD and AGG.
The same map also highlights another problem with the labelling of curly small roads, but that's for another ticket...
Thank you all

Perhaps this bug is related to #2221 (splining text for ANGLE FOLLOW).
Any reaction?

Didn't mean to ignore this one. Any chance of getting a test case? I don't see the behavior in the maps I've been making with curved labels.

mmanzato, we really need a testcase to reproduce, otherwise there is not much we can do.
Sample map which shows the problem
