Description 

I have updated CVS HEAD with a slightly modified AC_LD_SHARED from GDAL to
support shared lib builds.  Our AC_LD_SHARED is being run multiple times in our
configure by both PHP MapScript configure stuff and the @LD_SHARED@ macro call
in Makefile.in (to be implemented soon).  

Using this bug to track those changes.

No complaints.  I think this is working fairly well now.
