This is the parent bug for the proposal to add Feature Layer Plug-In Architecture
support to MapServer as described in RFC 3.

The additional RFC which belongs to this primary one is 
MS RFC 8: Pluggable External Feature Layer Providers

Both of them are implemented.

The main commit for MS RFC 3 was: 
date: 2005/10/28 01:09:41;  author: jani; 
MS RFC 3: Layer vtable architecture (bug 1477)

And the main commit for MS RFC 8 was:
date: 2005/10/29 02:03:43;  author: jani;
MS RFC 8: Pluggable External Feature Layer Providers (bug 1477).
