shp2pdf segmentation fault

Description 

When running shp2pdf to create a pdf document of a map I get a segmentation
fault error.
The error can be reproduced easily running shp2pdf against the test map and with
other maps that are known to work.

I attach a patch that should fix this issue.

Thanks for the patch. I have applied it to both 4.5 (dev) and 4.4 branches (will
be in 4.4.1). The patch was trivial, but can you please test the CVS code and
confirm that it fixes your crash by marking the bug verified?
