== How to translate !MapGuide Maestro ==
On this page you can find instructions on how to translate [wiki:maestro MapGuide Maestro] to your native language.

The current version of !MapGuide Maestro is fully localizeable.
This document describes how to use the translation system.

== Details ==

In the folder where you installed !MapGuide Maestro, there exists a folder called "Localization".
Inside this folder are a number of files, all with the extension ResX.
These files are Xml files.

The name of the file refers to the window (form) it is used in.
The filename contains the following structure:
Namespace.Classname.languagecode.resx

Some of the files have no language code. These files are the default language (english in this case).

To create a new language, simply copy all the files with no language code, and insert the desired language code. If you do not know what language code to use, you can look in the "About" section of the application, where it will list your language code.

The application will detect the added languages on startup. If you wish to submit your translation, I will include it in the next release.
