Did you try with the tip of the 3.3 branch yet ? See #586

Yes, I built GEOS from 3.3 branch and the segfault still happens. However, in the backtrace it looks like check_valid returns false which is strange since ST_IsValid is true for both geometries... I will double check that I have built everything correctly.

Resolution: → duplicate
Status: new → closed

It actually works for me. I've added this case in the existing testsuite with r3720 in trunk and r3721 in 3.3 branch. Does make check fail for you after svn update ?

I'm considering this a duplicate of #586

I confirm that both #598 and this ticket can be closed - it works with the latest 3.3 branch. Sorry for the false alarm.
