Mouse placement to select features or edit label in IE

comment:1 by jimk, 12 years ago

The mouse "works" in IE9, but the placement of the "hand" cursor is very critical and non-intuitive (unless you happen to recall that cursors in IE randomly ignore the indicated hot-spot and sometime default to the center of the cursor instead, then it is entirely intuitive). See gm-mouse-ie.png for placement that works.

Still have not gotten it to work in IE8 but will try at work where I have a better connection and not have to use my STUPID mouse with my STUPID old laptop.

This does work in IE8 on trunk. Did this test at work where my mouse is not so stupid. You have to point at the top/center of the point to be able to select. The cool thing is that the arrow/pointer cursor changes to a hand you you have it selected. So I am closing this.
