Manual page of the DXF format ​http://www.gdal.org/drv_dxf.html is outdated. Closed linestrings (POLYLINE, LWPOLYLINE) are no more converted into polygons in reading. Only HATCH (as well as 3DFACE and SOLID) objects are converted as Polygon. In output polygon is written as HATCH.
