PostGIS Provider fails on spatial query - unsupported geometry type error

Description
If you try to execute spatial queries against the FDO PostGIS provider from AutoCAD Map3D 2010 as the client, the provider issues an unsupported geometry type exception.
This error does not occur with other providers.
The problem may be related to lack of support for 3d geometries.
