Look for "wktraster" in the [http://pyqgis.org/repo/contributed QGIS plugin page] and [http://mapeandoobrasil.blogspot.com/2010/12/postgis-raster-plugin-para-qgis.html Mauricio's article] (if you can decrypt portuguese!). Same for gvSIG the popular spanish open source GIS! Nacho Brodin has develop a plugin to display raster stored in PostGIS. See the [http://www.osor.eu/projects/gvsig-postgisra page of the project]. On our side we are woking fixing bugs and implementing ST_MapAlgebra. See you at the Code Sprint in Montréal (march 15-18)!<BR><BR>

The WKT Raster extension will become the new PostGIS RASTER type in PostGIS 2.0 planned for next april. The PostGIS and the WKT Raster team met at the FOSS4G friday's code sprint and decided that WKT Raster was mature enough to bring interesting new functionalities to PostGIS. A new MapAlgebra function should be added for this release. Congratulation to the whole team for all the work accomplished!<BR><BR>
