[http://www.gaia-gis.it/spatialite/ SpatiaLite] is a relatively new GIS file format based on [http://www.sqlite.org/ SQLite], which uses a single file to store multiple layers and data tables.

== Exporting from PostGIS to SpatiaLite ==

Use [http://www.gdal.org/ogr2ogr.html ogr2ogr] built with [http://www.gdal.org/ogr/drv_sqlite.html SpatiaLite options].

To create the SpatiaLite file export the first layer:
