The MrSID Plugin is used to read/write SID files. SID is a proprietary image format developed by LizardTech. Reading MrSID files is free. Outputting SID files requires a ''LizardTech Cartridge''. To build the plugin, developers need access to the LizardTech DSDK to read SID files and the ESDK to write SID files.
