Hi,

before final release we need to make sure that the versions in load_mac_installers.sh and load_win_installers.sh are all up to date, and that all of the URLs work.

this is independent of and has to happen before the final cut based on how much free disc space there is in the full build: we need this data before we can do that cut.

there has been a recent security patch for geoserver

I think it was CVE-2023-25157 OGC Filter SQL Injection Vulnerabilities. 
The vulnerability applies to any database backend; 
also any other software using GeoTools (depending on how they use it) can be vulnerable.

I think the fixes were backported to some previous versions 
able to run on Java 8;  2.22.2 has the patch

Since GeoNode is now compatible with Django 1.11 (default in Ubuntu Bionic), we won't need to downgrade Django to 1.8.x anymore.
