#424 | fixed | Add windows and mac installers to the LiveDVD
Description |
Previous Arramagong Live DVD releases have had windows installers on them, which allow users to copy GIS applications onto their windows computer. What we need is a script to copy these installers from (what location). It is proposed that the following packages be included: http://download.osgeo.org/qgis/win32/QGIS-1.2.0-0-No-GrassSetup.exe http://home.gdal.org/tmp/vcredist_x86.exe http://grass.osgeo.org/grass64/binary/mswindows/native/WinGRASS-6.4.0RC5-1-Setup.exe http://maptools.org/dl/ms4w/ms4w_3.0_beta7.zip |

#426 | fixed | Install VirtualBox helper application
Description |
The FOSS4G GISVM seems to work quite well in Sun's Open Source version of Virtual Box, which you can apt-get install from Ubuntu. To make it work better, like getting the mouse to move freely from the virtual box to your desktop, and to get the display to expand greater than 800x600, it seems you can install virtual box helper applications. See the comment trail on this blog for details: http://freegeographytools.com/2008/gisvm-a-virtual-ubuntu-linux-gis-workstation We need to get this into an install script. |
