The tables of the OSM data in PostGIS are called like: "planet_osm_line", "planet_osm_point" ...

I find this very confusing, because the tables only contain the data for the feature city. (and obviously not of the planet)

I suggest to rename these tables. This can easily be done by using the "--prefix" flag from ​osm2pgsql . This is the corresponding ​text file in OSGeo-live.

I see two possibilities for renaming:

• a static prefix like "feature_city_line", "feature_city_point", ...

OR

• a dynamic prefix like "bonn_line", "bonn_point", ...

This section speaks about uploading the liveDVD to an torrent tracker. The tracker is not responding.

So this part is deprecated:

It should be removed or updated.

This is a small enhancement I'm planning to do. Currently the packages with documentation are built from a bazaar mirror of the git repository.

Launchpad now allows git repositories to be used for daily builds as well.

I've set up a test script at:

I'll review whether this works well - we may have to bump the version to make sure that we install over older versions if we decide to use this for the next release.

Priority is minor as the current system works well.
