Change to GeoNetwork trac email addresses — at Version 4

Reported by: ticheler Owned by: warmerdam

Component: SysAdmin Keywords: TRAC

Description (last modified by warmerdam)

Hi there!

I would like to ask if the Trac instance of GeoNetwork could:

  • send ticket emails out to out developer mailing list? The developer mailing list address is: geonetwork-devel@…
  • set the reply-to address to the same developer mailing list. Now the reply-to is set to Frank Warmerdam (I think he has other things on his todo list ;)

Thanks in advance!

Jeroen

I'm not sure how to handle these trac things and would like to push to SAC to handle. cc:'ing Arnulf as he has a similar need.

Owner: changed from sac@… to warmerdam

I'll take care of this.

I will warn that trac sends emails with the target addresses not in the To: field, so many list managers will not let the email through. You may find you need to alter the configuration a bit.

Yes, whatever you do please do it to the Mapbender instance of Trac too.

Jeroen,

Did you want the geonetwork developer list to be the default assignee of tickets, or to be always cc:ed on all geonetwork tickets?

I have set smtp_replyto = geonetwork-devel@… in /var/www/geonetwork/conf/trac.ini, and restarted apache. So that should be the reply address for future trac email.

Arnulf,

it might be best for you, or the Mapbender trac-meister to submit a new ticket for mapbender when this is done so it can be clear the configuration you want, the address to send to, etc. BTW having all trac traffic go through the developer list can produce a lot of noise in a busy project.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
