Can you please nuke/delete my Trac username. I no longer want the related tickets being emailed to me if they could be re-assigned to another user from my id.

You can turn off notifications yourself. Go to https://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo/prefs/notification
and then under preferences, add the subscription rule
Never notify: Ticket that I reported is modified
That blog post is specifically about changes to the matrix.org homeserver. The settings they use has no impact on our side.
I think we have guest accounts disabled (and we should). The OIDC thing might be interesting, but it's not even available in Element Web yet. It would be nice to have, but not something we need to do anything about.
