== Agenda ==

* GRASS GIS 8 release schedule
  * we are at a very good point
  * lots of conferences upcoming where GRASS GIS 8 will be advertised in talks and demo sessions
  * Martin to provide basic "WinGRASS 8" instructions on the Wiki, Vero happy to beautify them
  * idea: turn addons into pip-installable packages, change g.extension accordingly
* Reorganizing addons repo
  * idea: change directories to branches (g6, g7, g8), keep main branch only for backward compatibility
* Sponsoring
  * Two options: !OpenCollective or NUMFocus (originally founded by numpy etc).
  * it would be ideal if OSGeo takes the role of being the fiscal host
  * !OpenCollective: The OSGeo treasurer has already registered the GRASS GIS project under the hood of OSGeo on !OpenCollective:
    * OSGeo would take 5% of donations - perhaps 0% - to be checked by Moritz

    * we need to define the cash flow (which bank account shall be registered: OSGeo US or OSGeo Europe?)
    * the fiscal host defines which means of payment are allowed (Stripe, etc)

  * NUMFocus: an alternative (e.g., GDAL is currently requesting to be hosted there)
* RFC Python version support:

* Current request on grass-web to make `i.segment` a stand-alone software
  * could be through conda but that's not complete: packaging is tricky
  * it would be great to reach `pip install grass` at some point
