Description
Problem:
Currently, to copy features from a background vector map, the map must be specified in vdigit preferences. To see what I'm copying, I must also add the same vector map in the layer manager. So I need to specify the same map twice. If I need to copy attributes from a different, I again have to change the setting in vdigit preferences.
Solution:
It would be a really practical enhacement, if the background map could be selected in the layer manager alone, instead.
So if you have a given vector map selected in the layer manager, it is the map the features are copied from when "Copy features from (background) map" is used in vdigit.
Simpler and intuitive IMO.
Implemented in devbr6 (6.4) and trunk (7.0). "Background vector map" is now selectable from contextual menu in layer manager.
