Description
It would be useful to have the "browse" button in the GUI of v.external, just like the one available for r.external, in the field of "Name of input OGR or PostGIS data source" (input parameter).

Please try out trunk, it's implemented there, see attachment:v_external_browse.png. The changes are quite heavy for backport.

I suggest to retarget the ticket to 7.1.0 and close if the reporter is satisfied.
