nviz broken under Ubuntu 64 bit

Description
I just tested on a couple of machines with Ubuntu 64 bit (one 11.04 and the other 11.10) and when running nviz I get
nviz elevation=dem@etrs89 Loading raster map ... Loading raster map ... Translating colors from raster map ... X Error of failed request: BadRequest (invalid request code or no such operation) Major opcode of failed request: 136 (GLX) Minor opcode of failed request: 19 (X_GLXQueryServerString) Serial number of failed request: 248 Current serial number in output stream: 248 Finished with error
On a 32 bit machine it works fine (same GRASS version as above 6.4.1-2 and Ubuntu 11.10)

This looks like system OpenGL issue. Reopen if NVIZ is the only OpenGL application failing. In such case, please, attach the output of glxinfo.
