CPU dramatically increases while digitizing, no console output

Description
While digitizing boundaries, I got stuck by a sudden CPU usage increasing. wxGUI crashes, without any error output. I could reproduce it on an empty map :
- digitize a boundary
- Additional tools > break lines/boundaries
- cut the boundary
- digitize a new one.
Cursor slows down till it stops, then wxGUI entirely crashes, leaving vector map inconsistent.

Tested in current 6.4.svn, working. Closing as fixed.
