... unless you configured with --enable-xxxxy

the DIST_SUBDIRS variable for Makefile.am would fix this this item is just so we don't forget

Fixed in r3001 (a Swig Odyssey)

as a note, r3002 fixes it w/out breaking 'make' discend into bindings
