Only the first geometry in a collection is checked for being valid.

FYI: I've also fixed this in the 3.2 branch as of r2943.

Actually the fix in branch is better than the one in trunk as it retains the "checked" flag. I'm going to do the same in trunk.

JTS would also benefit from doing it (for performance sake). We do for memory management sake too...
