Description
I don't know when this started, could possibly have to do with the presence a symbolic reference in the git repository ("master", pointing to "main").

For reference: the support for symbolic refs should be now fixed by the email sending script, in case we want to add the symref back: https://git.osgeo.org/gitea/sac/git-hookscripts/issues/1

It looks like the commit mail are back to normal, once I removed the "master" symbolic reference. Closing this ticket.
