There has been a lot of discussion how to encode links to OGC W*S services in an easy way that does not require specifications to be extended.

Embed a minimum Web Map Context ([http://www.ogcnetwork.net/schemas/owc/0.2.1/ OGC WMC])

Encode the link using a strategy also used in !OpenSearch for instance, using so-called [http://bitworking.org/projects/URI-Templates/draft-gregorio-uritemplate-02.html#variables URI Templates]

This would result in a link that would look like:
