FWtools on USB

The attached setfw_portable.cmd allows one to use fwtools for windows from a usb drive without installing anything on the host computer. It is non-invasive and won't make any changes to the system registry or windows system directories or anything like that. One does have to be careful that the input and output directories are not in system locations of course.

To use simply put the batch file in the root fwtools directory, e.g. f:\usb-apps\fwtools\setfw_portable.cmd, and double-click on it.

The .cmd extension ensures that cmd.exe is used instead of command.com (which is a hold over from Win9x). The script will only work on Windows 2000 and newer.
